![]() If you post some pictures of the tractor I can most likley narrow it down to a year or two. The engine serial number is stamped into the block above the oil filter(if it has one) and yours will most likley be VAB******** number. ![]() In 1945 they removed the little corner pieces on the grill and side sheets and in 1949 they started putting on eagle hitches. The 1942-43 and first half of 1944 used a modified VC front end with the "chicken roost" steering. The ball bearing governor was ended at tractor #5365687. The continental built engines were used 1942 thru 1946-47 as the exact ending number is foggy, the continental built engines had a flat one piece intake and exaust manifold and the CASE build engines had a 2 piece manifold that stepped away from the block. Starters were available from 1942 and up. ![]()
